The final stretch of the road to the christ statue is only accessible via the local minivans.

it is also possible to enter from tjhe neighborhood of Jardim Botânico, via Rua Pacheco Leão - this route passes along the Vista Chinesa, the Mesa do Imperador and the waterfalls of Quebra and of Macacos, part of the Estrada Dona Castorina.

also from Jardim Botânico, a wonderful access to the park is through the Parque Lage, located on Rua Jardim Botânico, 414 -  a trail worth the experience in itself but always to be followed accompanied by a professional guide.
