morro do macaco (mountain of the monkey) is located next to morro do pico at the entrance of guanabara bay, in the jurujuba neighborhood of niterói. jurujuba, meaning yellow parrots in indigenous tupi language, is one of the most charming neighborhoods of the city, very tranquil and home to some of the most traditional fishermen colonies in the state.

the morro do macaco, part of the the santa cruz fortress complex, it is one of the best-kept secrets of the niterói region, but one that nevertheless has much to offer for the history buff, naturalist and outdoor sports enthusiast.   arrow-back     arrow-forward
