other than age, each park tends to have a great variation of natural terrain, and attributes, giving each one its own identity and appeal. 

some are rich with an abundance of dense vegetation and forest cover, such as the parque estadual cunhambebe with 95 percent forest cover, while other have suffered significant loses to their natural environment, as is the case with the parque estadual da serra da concórdia, which has begun the slow process of regeneration, now with a great variety of generational levels.
