the parque estudal da pedra branca  (white rock state park) in the neighbrhood of  campo grande constitutes the largest urban forest in the world. the highest point of the park is the peak of the white granite rock known as pico da pedra branca, which rises to over a thousand meters in altitude.

the rio da prata offers visitors the chance to experience some of brazil's impressive marine wildlife. snorkeling is one of the most enjoyable activities on the river due to the large number of exotic fish - there are 55 species including the huge dourado fish.
