the rio das pacas (pacas
river) is named after a species of south african
rodent found in parts of brazil, paraguay, and mexico. they have
large heads, pig-like bodies, and swollen cheeks with long
whiskers and can be found residing along the banks of the river.
many small waterfalls flow from the pacas river, some of which
are great for swimming and snorkeling due to the
deep plunge
pools and gentle cascading waters.
