trindade is another beach to visit and perhaps the most famous in the area. hippies frequented this beach during the 'free love' movement of the sixties. nowadays surfers particularly appreciate this beach due to the favorable surfing conditions and large waves.

prainha on the other hand, is a beach that might appeal to scuba divers, because the water here is very calm and dark green. there is also a quiet bar reached from the praia grande trail.
