this genre's arrival in the marvelous city has meant it has inevitably been fused with brazilian samba,  funk carioca, and other afro-brazilian-based rhythms, creating an exciting and uniquely brazilian sound - it is also the easiest dance music to combine with other genres to produce a new sound.
