points are lost in the competition if this required structure is not followed, or if there are not sufficient members for each section - points are also lost if there are any gaps between or inside the various wings, and if the flow is not homogeneous. 

in between each of the wings, the school presents 6 to 8 carnival floats depicting the theme of the year being paraded - floats must function and move properly, broken parts of the floats, or floats not moving consistently with the rest of the parade will result in lower scores.
