and so, in the 1960's some of the most famous carioca blocos were born, including the banda de ipanema - born in 1965, this bloco became so important to be declared cultural patrimony of rio de janeiro in 2004.

in 1965, the federaçăo dos blocos carnavalescos do estado do rio de janeiro - fbcerj (federation of carnival blocks of rio de janeiro) is also created.
