at a glance

using a finger to point at the camera and at the person to be photographed is a clear gesture indicating a request for permission to take a picture.

carnival parades are perfectly safe to photograph, but again the neighborhoods and surrounding areas may not be, so cameras should only be used at the events.

also to keep in mind is that the parades in the sambódromo are not public events, meaning that no pictures taken during the shows can be used commercially without authorization by the bodies governing the parades (liesa,  lierj, and aescrj), the samba school being photographed, and the person in the actual picture.

we published some of our carnival pictures on this page, including before the parade backstage, before the parade at the concentração, marching in a parade, blocos in santa teresa, and some blocos of the zona sul.     arrow-back      arrow-forward
