a foreign investor visa can also be issued to foreigners who invest in a brazilian company.

this visa requires a minimum investment of of a R$ 150,000  into a new or existing business in Brazil, and must be submitted to the  Banco Central do Brasil (Central Bank of Brazil). 

while this is the minimum amount required, the investment can be be lower under special circumstances.
