Mar do Rio is the largest company in the city to provide visitors with boat and diving trips around the oceanic islands of Rio's coast, the Cagarras islands, Rasa, Tijuca, Redonda and Maricas. The diving trips take place at night and depart in the morning for a swim in the famous ‘buenos aires' shipwreck, which is situated on Rasa Island. Trips are conducted in the Cabras Mar 37 vessel, which is fully adapted for diving, and has a cruising speed of 20 knots.

Marlim Yacht Charters provide leisure, business and educational boat trips and tours around the city and a yachting clinic in Angra dos Reis. They offer four different tours of the city of Rio: the Cagarras Islands; Itaipú; and a Sunshine Tour of the city's coast. The Happy Sailing Tour is a romantic, nocturnal view of the city through the waters of the Guanabara Bay, which leaves at 18:30, lasts two hours and includes a free caipirinha.
