Favela Tour aims to empower the residents of Rocinha favela by giving them the opportunity to organize and run the tours themselves - All guides therefore live within the favela and any money that is generated goes directly back into the community, with the aim of creating a community center for arts and leisure programs.

The tours are more of a cultural exchange than a conventional show and tell experience - They offer tours of the day to day goings on of the favela, tours including a Baile Funk party, paintball experiences, football games, barbecues, and are more than happy to design itineraries around the client.
