The
Vidigal Centro de Educação Stella Maris was first
founded in 1935 by a group of nuns and was called the College of
the Daughters of Jesus - It was re-homed to Vidigal in
1942, and by 1957 there were students from 21 Brazilian states.
Its main principle follows the biblical phrase, 'Where there
is no place for the poor, there is no place for me', providing
elementary and secondary education which is inclusive, ethical,
sustainable, and based on Gospel values - This educational
