Founded in 1999, the Instituição Filantrópica Espaço Renovo, based in Realengo, offers youths and adults educational workshops, as well as courses in music, English, cooking, crafts, hairdressing and literacy.

In 2001, they launched the Projeto Renovo Frutificando which aims at meeting the psychological, social and educational needs of those in the community, by providing tutoring, help with homework, research, social values workshops, chess, martial arts, as well as speech and psychological therapy and lunch each day.
