Venerável Ordem Terceira de São Francisco da Penitência, or VOT is a faith-based organization which dates back to the early 17th Century in Rio de Janeiro, and has been based in the Tijuca neighbourhood since 1939.

As well as running a number of educational establishments, this religious organization runs the Hospital São Francisco na Providência de Deus, a medical establishment aimed at providing care for all social classes, in numerous medical specialities.

It consists of eight buildings which contain within them The Social Health organization of the State of Rio, as well as the Mental Health Care facility which was inaugurated by Pope Francis in 2013 - The hospital's motto is ‘To be human is our mission' - VOT can be contacted via their website on this link or through email here
