Ação Comunitária Pró - Favela DR Marcelo Candia is a community project located in the Morro do Borel favela, on the outskirts of Andaraí - The institution runs family centres, which include two community crèches where children and adolescents are welcome.

It contains within it a unit offering adult education courses as well as supplementary primary and secondary education, and some English and Spanish courses - Women meet to produce crafts, and workshops are held to support families generate income.
