Founded in 1995, REAGIR, Grupo de Apoio à Criança e ao Adolescente, provides care and support to children and adolescents in socially vulnerable situations in outpatient treatment at the Hospital Municipal da Piedade, before and after discharge.

They work to improve these young peope's conditions, in order to create tangible benefits to their health, family and community - Their philosophy is 'We do not simply give them a fish, but teach them how to fish'.

To this end, they run an Integral Support Program for families which goes beyond short-term welfare, working to ensure that families are able to transform their own realities and therefore prevent the currently high levels of re-hospitalization - REAGIR can be contacted via email here or on the organization's website on this link.
