Founded in the mid-20th Century by Luiz da Rocha Lima, Lar de Frei Luz is a philanthropic organization, providing amongst other things, primary education to children - They also; have a medical unit, which offers pregnancy support, guidance and meetings; run a Bazaar in which they sell second-hand products to raise funds, and offer food parcels to struggling families.
