Today there are over 10 projects in progress on five fronts - Urban Policies, Education, Communication, Arts and Territory, and Right to Life and Public Safety.

central única  das favelas - cufa  (unique central for favelas) is a site managed by youths from several favelas in rio aimed at social projects, and with the award winning hip hop singer mv bill as one of its founders.

the project was formed by a number of youth groups across many of rio's favelas, who wanted to find a medium for expressing their cultural values and identities - cufa crew involved the rapper mv- bill and nega gizza. 

while mv bill was awarded by unesco  for his activities, nega gizza is the director of hutuz, the biggest rap/film festival of latin america, and a cufa production.  other cufa projects are listed on this link - central única das favelas also offers professional training workshops in DJ-ing, break dance, graffiti, basketball, skateboarding and gastronomy.
