a short distance north of the islands and beyond the protection area is the elongated praia da brisa (breezebeach), which presents a marvelous view over the bay.

praia da brisa (also known as praia do aterro) is a very important social landmark in the region, as it offers large spaces and infrastructures often used for musical events and week-end celebrations.

interestingly, most of the electricity used by local kioks and public showers along this beach is generated via the windmills built all along the beach.
