this 3,000 square meter space is dedicated to learning through theater, music, seminars, classes, and various multi-media presentations - a variety of themes are explored through several expositions throughout the year, where the visitor is invited to participate and discover a new world and approach to several topics. founded in 1995, casa da cięncia is part of the ufrj - the federal university of rio de janeiro. the institution's mission is to disseminate scientific knowledge in an interactive and interdisciplinary fashion. this scientific center also offers audiovisual productions - music shows and plays, as well as traveling projects and exhibits.
