conveniently located at the edge of copacabana beach, right at posto 6, visitors can experience brazil's military history from the colonial exploration to its second world war expeditionary force with something for everyone among the many objects in display - at the site are located a museum, a chapel, a giant cannon positioned on its original place, and in addition to the historic value of this fort, there are two restaurants with magnificent views, and a mirante (view point) at the far end of the fort.
