at a glance

for nature-lovers, parque da cidade is a must-see trip, with its innumerable gardens, waterfalls, and green vistas.

while there, it is worth stopping at the museum of the city to see the collection with upwards of 20,000 items.

for those looking for a bit of exercise, the hike up pedra da gávea is always a fun challenge.

with an approximately two-hour climb and a steep incline towards the very top, it is sure to give even the most experienced hikers a quick flash of butterflies.

despite these last fifteen meters of hand-climbing, reserved only to experienced climbers, the hike  is well-traveled by tourists and locals alike - but always in the presence of a licensed guide for safety. arrow-back      arrow-forward
