The fully renovated palace contains hydraulic tiles on the original 1908 mosaic floor - The lush gardens were designed by the French landscape architect Paul Villon in the early 20th Century, and contain royal palms and exotic fruit trees such as mangos, persimmon, peach-of-india and eye-of-the-dragon.

The Governor, Luiz Fernando Pezăo re-opened the palace in order to provide the public with insight into its historical importance, as well as to give them the opportunity to experience the beauty of its architecture and the rich fauna and flora of its gardens. arrow-back      arrow-forward
