at a glance

during the summer months (november through february), praia vermelha is ideal to enjoy the sunrise - we posted some pictures of a sunrise at praia vermelha here.

the beach is ideal for families, as it the water is relatively calm, however there are no lifeguards on duty, or bathrooms other than the facilities available to the customers of a nearby bar. there are no kiosks in the immediate vicinity of the beach, but vendors usually sell sancks and refreshments - particularly on weekends and during special events.
