Favela Enterprise's services are born of a desire to create a replicable model for sustainable tourism in similar communities and to create a meaningful dialogue between favela residents and guests.

Pousada Alto Vidigal combines a friendly and vibrant hostel with bar and nightclub, offering a wide array of drinks to the tune of trendy electronic music at the weekend. 

The community has also become somewhat of a gastronomic hotspot of late. Barlacubaco, run by a local foodie, Fábio Freire Pimenta, offers delicious and innovative cuisine, such as tender fillet mignon in Madeira sauce.

Another excellent option is Paladar Nordestino (Northeaster Taste), which provides traditional delicacies from the culinary cornerstone of Brazil, such as Moqueca de Camarão (Prawn and coconut stew) and cod salad. The establishment, run by Genilson, makes deliveries throughout the community.
