The Biblioteca Nacional do Brasil (Brazilian National Library), is one of the ten largest national libraries in the world and is the largest in Latin America. It contains around ten million items, many of which have rare historical and cultural value.

The library promotes the dissemination of its collection by holding exhibitions, shows, debates, lectures and maintaining regular programs to increase the visibility of Brazilian authors and artists abroad.
