the samba school inocentes de belford roxo is another of the main attractions at the island, and since 2011 other samba schools from the grupo especial have also been performing for new year's eve.  

other bands that performed at the réveillon on paquetá include quintal do pagodinho, arte de ser, banda do terreirão, and swing e simpatia.  

this is a different new year's eve experience and is worth the ferry ride.
