one of the main attractions is the botanical garden with native and exotic plants and beautiful fountains, and the most visited areas may be its big skate ring.

parque madureira is now the third largest park in rio, second only to the aterro do flamengo and the quinta da boa vista.

the very first réveillon at parque madureira was celebrated on december 31st of 2012, when 40 thousand people took part of the event and the historical music band cidade negra was one of the big hits of the night.  

other bands and groups featured were coisa séria, dj corello and different samba schools.
