people from all parts of rio de janeiro will be converging into copacabana for the night - the transit in the region will be completely closed off for most of the day on december 31st. for visitors and tourists not staying on copacabana, careful planning of transportation, to and from the event, is extremely important for safety and comfort. many streets will be closed off, and private cars will not be allowed to circulate through copacabana in the hours before the event. camping on the beach is not allowed, and can even result in being arrested. | ||||
