other lavish parties take place on the night, from the sofitel hotel and forte de copacabana to the royal tulip hotel and museum of modern art, all of which offer fantastic views of the fireworks. be sure to book tickets long in advance though because the allocations fill up rapidly.

nearly every copacabana bar on avenida atlântica with a terrace or an outdoor area affords some sort of a view. 

most of these bars will have special pricing for the night, and are a good option for those who enjoy sipping a cocktail and eating something rather than dancing with the masses on copacabana beach.
