the photographer cristiano mascaro and architect lauro cavalcanti have worked together to explore 18 architectural works, developed in the 'golden age' of architectural innovation and beauty.

amongst the works under their expert examination are the masterpiece of paving design developed by roberto burle marx on copacabana beach, and parque do flamengo (flamengo park), conceived and designed by affonso reidy in 1961. 

they also catalogue the milestone constructions of the associação brasileira de imprensa (1936-1938) (brazilian press association), developed by brothers marcelo and milton roberto; the ministério da educação e saúde (1936-1943) (ministry of education and health), and palácio capanema (capanema palace), designed by a spectacular team, constituted of lucio costa, affonso reidy, oscar niemeyer, carlos leão, jorge moreira, ernani vasconcelos, and le corbusier.
