a first of its kind in brazil, and one of the most innovative shopping centers in the all of latin america, casa shopping is the spectacular outdoor mall, focusing solely on architecture, construction and interior design - not just the place to shop and browse, this mall has become a meeting point and a reference in the city.

architects, designers, and decorators visit to find the highest quality equipment on the market, and also to interact with other innovators to share ideas for future projects - with a gargantuan structure, spanning across more than 27,000 square meters, consisting of more than 150 stores, as well as other offices and enterprises.

being such a grand structure, it is only right that it is located in the spacious west zone of the city, in rio de janeiro's tropical barra da tijuca neighborhood - breaking boundaries in the fields of building design, it was the bold move, and inspiration, of entrepreneur luiz paulo marcolini, who came up with the idea to construct the innovative mall. 

initially envisioned by marcolini in the 1980s, it was in 1984 that casa shopping was inaugurated, becoming the first mall dedicated to design in the whole of brazil.
