to this day, as the world's largest producer of coffee, with over 30% of global production, brazil relies heavily on the rich brown beans of the crop to feed internal and external markets, and to keep the economy moving.

yet, coffee is not just a source of wealth to the country - the population loves it too.  studies have shown that it is the most consumed product by brazilians over 10 years old.
