the second most popular market in rio where creations by local artists make great souvenirs, is at the feira noturna turística de copacabana - this nightmarket is very similar to the sunday hippie fair in ipanema, and even features some of the same vendors.

feira nocturna only takes place at night,  and literally lights up the avenue every evening of the week except sundays - the fair features flags, bracelets, bikinis, hammocks, and a unique selection of items and on saturdays, a special section for artwork and large paintings is available.

it happens to be extremely ideal for visitors who do not have time to browse during the day, usually opening up between six  and seven at night, and closing down by midnight - located on avenida atlântica in between rua bolivar and rua sá ferreira, close to posto 5.
