the hoa aloha canoe club is apart of the canoe federation of rio de janeiro state. it provides the polynesian artform of canoeing while connecting humanity to nature - they provide  four types of hawaiin canoes and organize environmental intitiatives such beach cleaups. recreational and tour guided canoeing is available with the companies rio adventures and rio natural - both companies provide an abundance of activities in the city and state.

rio natural provides sea kayaking, hawaiin canoeing, sailing, rafting and stand up paddling. rio adventures provides along with many other eco tourism adventures, kayaking, scuba diving, hawaiin canoeing, and stand up paddling.
