flyboarding is relatively new sport on the international scene - invented in 2012 by franky zapata - the invention has sold over thousands of units world wide. having roots in the sport of wakeboarding, the activity has a similar board and strapped boots concept.

the participant in flyboarding is connected to a jetski by a long thick hose - on one end, the hose is attached to the hover board the individual is standing on, while on the other end the hose is attached to the jet ski. through propulsion of the water in the attached tube, the participant is able to hover above the water up to 15 meters in the air.
