synagogues in rio. it was originally established in 1942 but in
1961 moved to a beautiful modernist building in botafogo, which

kehilat yaacov orthodox synagogue of copacabana was founded in
1956 by belgian jews and is the oldest orthodox synagogue in
rio's zona sul. services are held in portuguese and the
synagogue offers classes in hebrew
