finally, at the very end of the beach, the fort of copacabana is a wonderful space to enjoy amazing views of the beach, some food, and explore art galleries and small museums. 

the fort overlooks the local fishermen colony, a small space that while may not be a famous landmark, it is extremely charming and a great asset to the region.

behind the beach, along avenida atlântica and avenida nossa senhora de copacabana, the neighborhood is home to an enormous number of shops, restaurants, markets, and botequinhos, the typical brazilian bars serving fresh fruit juices and snacks.
