along with a mosaic by brazilian artist romero britto, the statue is placed on the mirante santa marta, towering over breathtaking views of the city, the lagoa rodrigo de freitas, and guanabara bay. 

it was in santa marta that former president lula inaugurated the program 'rio top tour,' an initiative aimed at promoting community tourism inside the favelas managed by the residents of the communities.
