the park, named after him, commemorates his life and assassination in israel, with a granite statue -rabin's late widow, leah rabin, was in attendance at the inauguration of the new park in 2002. this park is also known as the 'monumento à bandeira' (monument to the flag) due to the huge brazilian flag standing above it.
