a curvy red ramp leads to the main structure, which consists of a ground floor, two levels and a mezzanine.  both, from the spacious courtyard of the museum and from its glazed interiors, the building runs 360 degrees around allowing spectacular panoramic views of rio de janeiro's skyline including of the pão de açúcar and of christ on corcovado.

once inside, there is an important collection of contemporary brazilian art, part of the permanent exhibition, and a selection of other displays, that are renewed periodically.
