along the beach different social groups, gather depending on ages and social inclination - mostly, the groups are surfers, body boarders, and families. throughout the entire length of the beach recreational fishermen relax and can be seen throughout the day and at night.

after sunset, however, this area becomes quite deserted and it is not recommended for people who are not familiar with the area, or foreign travelers. the far end of the beach, near praia do sossego, has a beautiful kiosk under the shade of the trees, and a nearby restaurant and bakery.
