parque das taboas, which oddly translates to 'park of cattails', is located on avenida borges de medeiros, between the banks of the lagoa rodrigo de freitas and two well-known rio clubs - the clube de regatas flamengo (flamengo regatta club) and the clube caiçaras.

taboas offers excellent features and facilities.  there are paths for hiking, jogging and biking around the lagoa rodrigo de freitas (rodrigo de freitas lake). furthermore, there are pedal boats, a skate park, restaurants and plenty of areas for picnicking in close proximity.  convenient parking and ample public restrooms and shower facilities are also provided.
