the parque das taboas is one of three parks that constitute the parque tom jobim.  it is located in rio's south zone, along the lagoa rodrigo de freitas. besides parque das taboas the tom jobim park complex cosists of the parque do cantagalo (singing rooster park) and the parque brigadeiro faria lima (brigadier faria lima  park),

as in the other three parks within the larger tom jobim park, there is a lot to do and experience - there are many playgrounds, sport tracks and fields, and large green conservation areas.
