named after antônio carlos jobim, the famous musician, parque tom jobim is located in the zona sul of rio, on the shores of the beautiful lagoa rodrigo de freitas. 

in fact, it is the second park to be dedicated to the artist in brazil - the first one being located in belo horizonte in the state of minas gerais. he was the driving force of the bossa nova style and introduced it to the world with his grammy award winning hit garota de ipanema -the girl from ipanema - this multi-purpose and multi-use area is divided into three smaller parks.
