from morro do
pasmado, the entire neighborhood of
botafogo can also be seen, facing the
guanabara bay and sheltered from the atlantic ocean by both
sugar loaf
mountain and the urca peninsula, the district is traditional and looks charming when viewed
from the elevated position.
the hill is also
home to a few kiosks serving basic snacks and drinks -
on certain holidays and
special occasions small fairs and live performances are
staged here.
the other local landmark is known as the
tunel do pasmado which provides access to
copacabana.
