the route to pedra do conde is just under 2km long, and can comfortably be covered in 60 minutes. only the final stretch of the trail requires extra effort for it is a steep and winding slope.

access to the trail is easy from the capela mayrink (mayrink chapel) - it begins at the stairs by playground next to the chapel, which was built in 1855 and restored in 1944 when it received paintings by famous brazilian painter portinari.

 at one point during the ascent  there is a triple crossroad, the right path to lead to the peak of the pedra do conde is the one on the far left.
