sitting at an immense 1,022 meters above sea level, the pico da tijuca is the highest point in the park, and the second highest point in the city. owing to this, the views at the top of the peak are stunning, with an uninterrupted 360-degree view of some of the most fabulous landmarks of the city.

from the top visitors can see the famous christ the redeemer statue, sugar loaf mountain, the guanabara bay and pedra de gávea. close to the summit there are over 100 steps carved into the rock, which allow access to the very highest point.
